Our Story

Born out of vision, perseverance, and the strength of family, Sona Gold & Diamonds traces its origins back to 1984, when Mr. K.V. Mohanan and Mrs. Sona Mohanan opened the first store in Batha, Riyadh. 

It wasn’t just about selling jewellery for them, it was about giving the Indian community abroad a piece of home,  jewellery that carried emotions, memories, and meaning.
 Named after Mrs. Sona Mohanan — whose name means “gold” — the brand carries her warmth, grace, and belief that jewellery should do more than be adorned - every piece should tell a story of trust and belonging.

The Early Spark

The first Sona store opened its doors in Batha, Riyadh, marking the beginning of a journey rooted in craftsmanship and trust.
